The image directly below is my favorite as it shows the juxtaposition of the palette and the artwork – realism vs abstract at its finest. Process images are also included in the post as a gallery.
After watching the documentary "Minimalism" and subsequently researching Project 333, I have torn through each room of our house and was amazed, absolutely AMAZED, at the "stuff" we own and do not use and how many projects have been unfinished for years.
Now, that stuff has become either money in our pocket (yay!), or new clothes for our nephew and niece, or useful to someone else while helping charity (yay!). The physical and mental space opened by this process has allowed room for more of things we love. Recommend this transformation to anyone and everyone.
Thank you Wilder for putting up with me moving piles to make piles after piling piles…and living with a destroyed house during this process.
Choosing frames for artwork can be confusing, frustrating, and daunting. For an upcoming show, I'm framing in suitable off-the-peg frames to reduce stress.
As I sat in front of my sketchbook this morning, the only thing that came to mind was the most recent battlecry of the fourth wave feminist movement, "Nevertheless, she persisted." So therefore, it is what was created. The image below is available to all of the #NastyWomen and #BadDudes that are working hard towards equality. Use the image however you'd like!
Construction of the new journal series has commenced this week! There are so many exciting paper patterns and colors in these sets. Each journal will have a brown kraft cover page and 20 unlined white pages. The sets will come with a lined pattern you can follow while writing your entries. These are the perfect size for special occasion letters like wedding day messages between the bride and groom or a letter to your first-born baby. Please see the link to my shop for product information.
This Cinque Terre piece is now available in the Etsy shop! Each brush stroke reminds me of footsteps taken through the mountainous villages. What an truly magical place! View the process on Instagram and purchase your own print in the shop.
