This week we remember our sweet Sierra Bear. She battled lymphoma for over a year, but outlived all statistics after chemo treatments, until the cancer came roaring back these last months. She will forever and always be our dog, our companion, our sweet girl. We are lucky to have countless memories of so many adventures (and naps). We love you sweet girl. Rest in peace.
Our daughter made her grand appearance one month ago. Couldn't be more happy! She's already made her way to London and we're off to Prague in April.
There has been an outpouring of love, support, and prayers to France as they cope with the worst terrorist attack in their modern day history. Time to fight the hatred by living with freedom and happiness, and with more love than ever before.
A year in the making! This painting is based off of my photo of the St. George monastery. We visited the largest island named Büyükada, one of the Princes' Islands during our trip to Istanbul in 2014. Original and glicee prints will be available when the Humblebee shop reopens. Contact me with any pre-order interest.
I've started a personal project of pattern making through doodling. This project is so much more than simply placing shapes and lines together. The filling of a page with "randomly" selected shapes results in an unfocused scratches becoming focused artwork. Process is important in every aspect of art and this form doesn't disappoint: problem-solving, memory retention, relaxation, self-control. Going through the process is a form of meditation as one can begin to sort through a series of rapid and fleeting thoughts almost always not concerning the artwork or process itself. Posting select results on Instagram with the hashtag #MorningMeditations and excited to see where it might lead (or where it might not)!
